The King of Trash Private Pre-Screening Event, Washington, DC
About this Event
The King of Trash private pre-screening comes to Washington, DC for a meaningful evening of film, community, and reflection.
The documentary tells the true story of a Vietnamese refugee family that left Vietnam after 1975, survived a dangerous journey at sea, passed through a refugee camp in the Philippines, and began again in America with almost nothing.
Through sacrifice, hard work, family, and faith in the future, their journey became a powerful story of survival, immigration, resilience, forgiveness, and the American Dream.
This private screening brings together community members, professionals, business owners, leaders, families, and friends to reflect on a story that speaks to many immigrant families and the generations that followed.
