The Kid – The Silent Film Series
Directed by Charlie Chaplin
Starring: Charlie Chaplin, Jackie Coogan, Edna Purviance
One of the most beloved films of the silent era, The Kid was Charlie Chaplin’s first feature-length masterpiece. Chaplin stars as the Tramp, who discovers an abandoned child and reluctantly takes him in. Over time, the pair form an unforgettable bond as they navigate life’s challenges together.
Blending Chaplin’s signature comedy with surprising emotional depth, The Kid remains a timeless story of resilience, family, and compassion. The film launched child star Jackie Coogan to international fame and continues to be regarded as one of cinema’s greatest achievements.
