‘Why do women keep f***ing each other up? Doth thou have an answer?'Shakespeare! The contraceptive pill! Internalised misogyny! Maybe a song! Probably cake! 🧁
Milestones of misinformation will test fragile lines of connection between three generations of Juliets.
Using the contraceptive pill as our anchor, we juxtapose Juliet's legend with our own stark realisations of poor choices from our youth, all while we collectively consume the next cycle. No performance will be the same.
An experimental and community-building event, some audience members will be encouraged to participate as they feel comfortable, as led by our performers.
Conceived and directed by Emma Whitehead, creator of 'in/finite SOL.' (2023 Sydney Fringe Festival Award Finalist - Best in Immersive and Interactive).
Featuring Jane Phegan, Alyona Popova, and Dominique Purdue.
Developed as part of Sydney Fringe Festival x The Ethics Centre Artist Residencies 2024.
