π The Somerset Dragon arrives in Watchet this May!A new county-wide event is coming to Watchet this April, as the Somerset Dragon makes its journey across the region.

π Monday 4th May
β° Dragon reveal and storybook reading at 12 noon with the sculpture available to view until 3pm

Residents and visitors are invited to gather as the Dragon is revealed from a touring stage lorry at midday.
Alongside the reveal, there will be a live, interactive reading of The Tail of The Somerset Dragon, a childrenβs story written, illustrated and printed in Somerset, bringing the story behind the Dragon to life.
The Watchet stop forms part of a wider Somerset tour, with each location giving people the opportunity to suggest a name for the Dragon. The chosen name will be announced during Somerset Day celebrations.
Copies of the book will also be available to purchase on the day.

The event is free to attend, with no booking required. Families are encouraged to come along, take part, and be part of a new Somerset story as it begins.
Please arrive from 11:30am to ensure good visibility.
