Between 1869 & 1948 over 1000,000 children of all ages were brought to Canadian shores from the UK. These children were not brought to Canada for love or protection, they were sent to work on Canadian farms and in Canadian households. This is a significant part of the history of Canada and the United Kingdom, yet it is still vastly unknown.
