The Jopes Ensemble plays Vivaldi, Bach and Handel by Candlelight

Come with us on a candlelit journey though some of the most beautiful music from the great composers of the baroque period. We will start in Italy, with two virtuosic concertos by Vivaldi – one for bassoon and the other for four violins. Our journey continues with Bach and his D minor keyboard concerto – perhaps the first proper piano concerto. And finally we arrive in London where Handel’s Water Music accompanied King George 1st royal barge on the Thames. All in the beautiful candlelit setting of St Germans Priory Church.
