The Jeremy Facknitz Band takes the stage for a rare performance at The Loft in Colorado Springs, Colorado Thursday, April 30th 2026. Hakken Krax Howl opens.Jeremy Facknitz has been delighting audiences with his brand of high-energy theatrical folk-rock-jazz for nearly 30 years. He's a 3-time finalist in the prestigious Kerrville New Folk Songwriting Competition at Kerrville Folk Festival (Lyle Lovett, Steve Earle and Nanci Griffith are TWO time finalists), and he's been able to make performing his "day-job" for the last 10 years by taking his show on the road in the U.S. and Canada. Heavily influenced by Billy Joel, James Taylor, Elvis Costello and Ben Folds, his music is a "throwback" to when singer-songwriters weren't afraid to turn it up loud, look you in the eye and play more than the same tired four chords. He embodies the soul of an old-time troubadour, bitten by a radioactive rockstar.
Tonight is a rare chance to hear his music with the full 6 piece band consisting of David Siegel (violin, Grass It Up), Ricky Sweum (sax), Mike Kimlicko (bass, Treo), Brad Plesz (drums, Treo) and John Standish (keys). Jeremy quips, "It's like tying my songs to the front of a runaway freight train."

Hakken Krax Howl is a husband-and-wife acoustic duo who just really love making music that feels like something. Their sound is rooted in raw nostalgia, heartfelt harmonies, and the kind of untamed energy that gets you right in the gut. Fueled by a love for music that transcends decades, it pulses with the spirit of the ‘80s and ‘90s, where melody meets emotion, and every song cuts straight to the soul. Together since 2014 and musically inseparable since 2024, they discovered that their chemistry wasn’t just personal—it was sonic. Whether stripping songs down to their rawest, most vulnerable core or channeling millennial angst into originals that hit like a journal entry come to life - they perform with passion and grit.
