As some of you may know, in 2018 Loralyn was diagnosed with a Paraganglioma brain tumor that had grown up into her right ear. She had multiple very longs surgeries for removal, and ended up losing her hearing in the right ear, as well as some of her facial function. At that time, they left roughly 6% of the tumor along the carotid artery - but she was given very low chances with it ever coming back.
In October of this year, we got the devastating news that the tumor has grown back, but not as large as previously.
They are now having to return to Mayo for multiple appointments in January, with the anticipation of treatment, possibly surgery this Spring.
With this coming as a surprise, we are hosting a benefit dinner to help supplement the Jenkins family financial obligations they will prepare to take on including travel, lodging, food, and time off work.
The end goal will be to continue to host events in Loralyn's honor by creating a foundation that helps support others with the same diagnosis. The foundation's goal will be to help support the financial strain one takes on when having to travel for appointments and treatments, such as the Jenkins family.
Come and join us for an afternoon of supporting the Jenkins family with a friend chicken lunch donated by Ugly Duck Catering, deserts by Mama Trish's Cookies, more information about the paraganglioma diagnosis, and the Jenkins Journey. WE are asking for a donation per plate served, and these proceeds will go towards the Jenkins journey.
