Kinusaiga is a Japanese art form where fabric scraps are pressed into a backing material, such as foam, to create designs without sewing. It is a way to create textile art and use up fabric scraps. The process involves carving a pattern into the backing and tucking fabric pieces into the grooves using a blunt-ended tool. Join our program coordinator Pam as she teaches you the basics of Kinusaiga in this 2 day class. Good manual dexterity and the ability to use an Xacto knife is needed. All materials will be supplied but feel free to bring your own fabric scraps if you’d like. You will have the choice of a sun & mountains or a Christmas poinsettia design. Space is limited to 12. You must come both days! Please call to sign up 978-456-4120.
