The Jake Leg Jug Band
Step back into the world of Prohibition-era America as The Jake Leg Jug Band bring their distinctive blend of jazz, blues, ragtime, gospel and vaudeville to The Engine Room.
Expect songs of M**der, betrayal, gambling, liquor and redemption, performed with humour, energy and superb musicianship. Refined through 14 years on the road, nearly 800 performances and ten albums, the band’s old-fashioned live show has also earned airplay on BBC Radio 2 and Jazz FM.
This is lively, theatrical roots music made for an intimate room: vintage in style, but full of life. Join us for two sets transporting Wayfarers Arcade back to the jazz age.
