The IronMan Shamble returns this year after a 9 year hiatus to help bring some joy and simultaneously offer support to one of our brothers who played in the first four IronMans. Unfortunately Tony and his very young family have lost everything in a house fire. When this event occurred, we knew there was only one thing to do, bring back the Ironman. And what better way to help than an insane golf tournament that will test your skill, endurance, fortitude, mental acuity, overall will to live as it literally grinds you down to nothing! Does that sound like you’re kind of fun? If so, then this is the tournament for you!

27 Holes played at 3 different courses
On a tour bus
$200 per golfer
Here’s how it works ~
Shamble Format
2 man teams.
Best ball from tee.
After the tee shot has been selected both players will play their own ball out for the rest of the hole, from that point.
Post the lower finish of the two golfers on the card as one score.
Repeat each hole with the same protocol and enjoy the competition.
(we still play in foursomes, but the official scoring is two man teams.)
(You can totally book a foursome and compete with your friends)
We gather at short beach 6AM to 6:45 AM for registration, breakfast and loading the bus.
The bus leaves at 7AM to head to Tashua Knolls in Trumbull for an 8AM shotgun on the Glenn.
At 10:45 AM, we reload the bus and head to The Orchards golf course in Milford.
We will be teeing off one group at a time. Pace of play is paramount here so there will be NO mulligans allowed during The Orchards. You must rely on your own skill. lol
Upon completion we reload the bus one more time and head back to Short Beach for a 3pm shotgun start.
Plenty of premade sandwiches, snacks and all your favorite “beverages of choice” will travel with us all day. Breakfast and lunch will be served at the first two courses, followed by food trucks at short beach, but this tournament isn’t about the dinner, it’s about the competition, the pursuit of victory, helping amazing people and overall surviving the IronMan!
The Rules
In an effort to create a competitive environment that EVERYONE might have a chance at greatness, and also to maintain pace of play, we have implemented these rules.
Lift, clean and place rules. For entire tournament.
2 club relief for un playable ball (no closer to hole)
(if you still can’t play, drop in the 2 club zone for one stroke penalty)
Both golfers tee off and then select the best ball to play from.
Once a ball has been selected, both golfers play their own ball, the rest of the way through the hole and then card the lowest finish of the two as one score.
Mulligans will be allowed off the tee only for $10
(Only during the 2 shotguns)
You can also buy your playing partners ball position for $20
(A fun twist available anytime)
