5 Rounds • 1 Day • The Ultimate Endurance Test
1. Introduction
Welcome to The Iron Crusade, an elite one-day 5-round Iron Man Warhammer 40,000 tournament hosted by Red October Games.
This event is part of both the King Beyond the Wall circuit and the Red October League, challenging players not only on the tabletop but in stamina, focus, and sportsmanship.
Prepare yourself for a full day of competitive Warhammer using official UKTC missions, layouts, and terrain.
2. Schedule & Timings
This Iron Man format demands punctuality and pace.
Each round is exactly 2 hours 30 minutes.

18:40 – 19:00 Extended Break (20 minutes)
19:00 – 21:30 Game 5
21:35 – 21:55 Awards Ceremony
Do not begin a new turn unless you can finish it within the round time.
3. Player Cap
The Iron Crusade can host up to 30 players.
This may be expanded if demand is high—follow our social platforms for announcements.
4. Army Composition
Armies must be 2000 points and Battle-Forged.
Lists must be uploaded to BCP no later than 9:00 pm on Thursday, 26th June 2026.
Late list submissions may incur a –10 VP penalty in Round 1.
Players must bring a digital or printed copy of their army list for opponent review.
TOs reserve the right to inspect lists; illegal lists are handled case-by-case.
5. Tournament Format
Round 1 pairings will be random.
Rounds 2–5 will use Swiss pairings via BCP.
Notify a TO immediately if paired against someone you have already played.
Tie-breakers include sportsmanship and theme votes.
The event awards points toward both the Red October League and King Beyond the Wall standings.
6. Terrain
All tables will feature: 60" x 44" boards, Official UKTC terrain layouts, terrain placed according to mission maps.
Terrain must not be moved unless both players agree.
Players should clarify terrain traits (obscuring, breachable, etc.) before beginning.
TOs are available for rulings at any time.
7. Painting & Modelling
Fully painted armies are encouraged but not required.
No penalties for unpainted or partially painted models.
Conversions, kitbashes, and 3rd-party models are allowed as long as the unit is unmistakably represented.
No proxies (e.g., a Guardsman cannot count as a Space Marine).
Models must be on correctly sized round/oval bases.
Best Painted Army
At lunchtime:
Display your army with a name card.
All participants vote for 1st and 2nd place.
To qualify, your army must be Battle Ready and themed.

9. Scoring & Prizes
Scores and standings will be managed via Best Coast Pairings.
Prizes (Store Credit E-Gift Cards):
1st Place: £25
2nd Place: £15
3rd Place: £10
Best Painted: £10
Iron Crusader Award: Trophy for completing all 5 rounds with no concession
Physical trophies will also be awarded.
Prizes will be delivered electronically after the event.
10. Missions
Uses the UKTC Mission Pack.
Missions will be announced no later than Friday 27th June 2026 at 12:00.
All tables will follow official UKTC layouts.
11. Game Timing
Each round is 2 hours 30 minutes.
No grace period.
Games not finished by the end of time are scored from the last completed battle round.
Do not begin a new battle round if it cannot be finished in time.
Complaints of slow play will be reviewed by a TO; rulings are final.
This is an Iron Man event — pace is part of the challenge.
12. Sportsmanship & Conduct
Resolve disputes between yourselves before calling a TO.
TO rulings are final and must be respected.
Good sportsmanship is required throughout the event.
Abusive behaviour (shouting, bullying, harassment) will result in removal without refund.
Friendly banter is welcome—keep it respectful.
