The Invasion of the Scarecrows 2025

The Historical Society of Forest Park and the Forest Park Arts Alliance are once again teaming up this fall on their annual Invasion of the Scarecrows fundraiser. And the scarecrows are not just back, they are gaining in numbers!!! This year, we will have another 100 scarecrows available for the Invasion of the Scarecrows, and up to 300 scarecrows will “invade” Forest Park in October. Do you want to participate?

Order your kit(s). Get one or a bunch, and create a whole scene. Order early before we’re sold out!

Pick up your kit(s) at Park District's Fall Fest September 6th

Decorate your scarecrow(s) and display them in front of your home or business throughout the month of October.

Your scarecrow(s) from previous years can be on the map again for only $5. Just re-use last year’s sign Just re-use last year’s sign.

· Blank Face Scarecrow Kit “Child” (shorter than regular kit) - $25 (20 for sale)

· Artist Face Painted Scarecrow Kit - $45 (10 for sale)

We will publish a list of all locations prior to October 1 and provide an opportunity for the community to vote for their favorite scarecrows throughout the month.

As previously, there will be prizes for winners in four categories: Most Historic, Most Artistic, People’s Choice, and Forest Park Pride. In addition to these prizes, which are awarded to individual displays, there will also be an award for the most involved block this year
