The Inner Secrets of Relating: A Family Constellation Workshop in Tempe

We often make the mistake of taking our difficulties, especially in all kinds of relationships, as something personal: personal failures or successes, personal happiness or unhappiness.

Family constellations, developed by Bert Hellinger, bring us a new and refreshing perspective: Our love is impacted by decades, maybe even centuries of events, relationships, entanglements and blessings.

The approach in family constellations is to feel these webs through a unique expereince in the body, a somatic knowing that holds the space of both the joys and traumas of those we come from, safely.

What if what we are dealing with is generations or centuries old?

In this workshop, you may want to look at family, romantic relationships, work partnerships, or any other similar dynamic that is unresolved, as a way to understand these invisible dynamics.

There are many psychological and spiritual forces impacting our experience.

The problem is that we often can’t see or understand those forces and we struggle, maybe getting overly emotional, or perhaps thinking too much and guessing at what might be affecting us. And while we might be really invested in our story, if it were truly clear, we would already be feeling better and more well.

And what about those that came before us? What about family and ancestors? These days, many people have put energy into figuring out how their parents might have harmed them, but they also don’t feel much better once they have that story.

Some are going further back and looking at their ancestors and their wounds. All of this is very good, but there is a missing element of the healing power of love that we need for true resolution.

What we want, is to be in greater harmony with love so that we can give and receive love in a way that nourishes and strengthens our lives. And so there’s more…

Family constellation has amazing keys that help love to flow through all of these complex experiences and open up to the possibility of moving forward into greater love, if we are available for unexpected alchemy.

As that person resonates with your story, we will begin to see the ways in which love and wellness have been blocked in your life. Looking at these patterns in your soul and relationship, you will have the chance to weave a new reality, through understanding and a ceremony of new ways of relating, as the constellation goes on.

It's an easy and open process to do representation and experience it with others and can also be like a type of play, or meditation.

So come with or without a problem, and you can do whichever parts of the workshop you feel drawn to! Everyone receives something.

Dr. Logan Sparks

Dr. Sparks is a student, both of the planet's healing traditions, and of the emerging modalities for the repair of the soul. He serves to heal broken relationships and restore the flow of love. His apprenticeship to traditional knowledge has taken him to Mexico, Native America, South Africa, Turkey, and the Middle East. He is a mediator trained by the state of Arizona, and has been in the field of family and systemic constellations for almost fifteen years.

Logan is a scholar-healer who holds a doctorate from the Institute of Ritual and Liturgical Studies, formerly housed at Tilburg University, in the Netherlands, and has a Masters in the Study of Religions from the School of Oriental and African Studies, at the University of London. He works in systemic healing with private individuals and groups, and teaches Native American undergraduate students in the tribal higher education system in the United States. Logan has two decades of experience as an intercultural and international educator, and group facilitator.
