Half Day Meditation Workshop with International speaker and Buddhist monk Gen Dragpa. No experience necessary - everyone is welcome! We all have an inbuilt capacity to feel a greater and more reliable authentic peace and happiness. Often, however, ingrained negative habits of mind lead us toward stress and worry, making it hard to feel balanced and positive in our daily lives.
The good news is that mental peace and resilience are skills that can be developed. By practicing meditation and shifting our perspective, we can learn to navigate life’s challenges with a steady, wise and positive mind.
What to Expect
Gen Dragpa brings over 33 years of experience in Buddhist study and practice. In this half-day course he will share practical methods for working with difficult minds and emotions. You will explore how to:
Identify and release negative thought patterns.
Connect with your natural potential for authentic happiness.
Develop the “mental muscle” needed to maintain peace under pressure.
The session includes guided meditations designed to give you a direct, personal experience of the potential for peace and well-being that exists within everyone.
Whether you are brand new and curious about how meditation works, or an experienced practitioner looking to deepen your understanding, you are very welcome. We look forward to seeing you there!
Gen Dragpa is the Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Centre The Netherlands, and the National Spiritual Director for the Nordic Countries. He has taught Kadampa Buddhism internationally for over 30 years. We are delighted to have him with us for this event.
