THE INNER GALLERY : Creating a Visual Deck of the Parts Within
About this Event
THE INNER GALLERY
Creating a Visual Deck of the Parts Within
A Monthly Creative Self-Discovery Series- Last Wednesday of the Month.
We are all made up of many parts.
There may be a part of us that takes care of everyone, a part that strives to get things right, a playful part, a creative part, a part that worries, or a part that longs for something more.
The Inner Gallery is a monthly creative series inviting you to discover and explore these different aspects of yourself through art.
Guided by Registered Art Therapist and Somatic Counsellor Charmaine Husum, RCAT-S, RCS, MTC, CT, DKATI, each gathering weaves together art therapy, parts work, somatic awareness, mindfulness and creative therapeutic approaches to support curiosity, reflection and connection with ourselves.
Each month, we will explore a particular part or aspect of self and create a small mixed-media card using collage, imagery, colour, texture and found materials. Through gentle guided practices, creative exploration and reflection, participants will have an opportunity to become curious about the qualities, strengths, needs and wisdom held within that part.
Over time, your cards become your Inner Gallery—a personal visual deck reflecting the many parts that make you uniquely you.
Begin with Self
Our first gathering begins with Self energy, a central concept within Internal Family Systems (IFS).
Through mindfulness, somatic awareness and art-making, we will explore qualities of Self such as curiosity, compassion, calm, confidence, courage, creativity, clarity and connection.
You'll create your first card as a personal visual representation of Self energy—something you can return to as your Inner Gallery grows.
Come for One — or Follow the Journey
Each workshop is a complete experience, so you're welcome to join us for a single month. Or choose a multi-session or full-series pass and gradually build your own Inner Gallery over time.
This is a gentle space for creativity, self-discovery and personal reflection rather than deep trauma processing. You are always invited to participate at your own comfort level, and personal sharing is optional.
No previous art experience or familiarity with IFS is necessary. All materials are provided.
