History doesn't end—it echoes.
As the final day of the Americans and the Holocaust exhibit draws to a close, this powerful conversation invites us to reflect on why Holocaust education still matters. What lessons remain urgent? What voices still need to be heard? And how do we ensure that memory turns into meaning?
Dan Penner, longtime educator, U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum Teacher Fellow, and adjunct professor at Bellarmine University, brings over four decades of experience to this timely discussion. Drawing from his extensive teaching career and firsthand travels to Holocaust sites across Europe, Mr. Penner will lead an open and thought-provoking dialogue on the role of Holocaust education in today’s world—and why forgetting is never an option.
Expect an afternoon of reflection, connection, and meaningful conversation as we honor the stories shared throughout the exhibit and consider what comes next.
Psst... Community participation is encouraged. Bring your thoughts, your questions, and your voice!
For 12 and up. Just drop in!
Space will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
This event is part of our Americans & the Holocaust Exhibit series.
