Jared Reed will perform his adaptation of Homer’s Iliad which focuses on the toll of war, the consequences of our choices, and how we choose to meet our end.The Salon: Art, Questions & Conversation is a performance series where art and audience become one living work. Join us for two short performances and readings from classical to contemporary micro-memoir, and questions about truth: beauty, self-worth, and what it means to be human — and a space for conversation directly about the experience.
If much of our suffering comes from living inside myths — stories we tell ourselves about who we should be, and what we should achieve. The Salon is an invitation to challenge myths together. Through art and honest conversation, the evening becomes an act of collective wisdom, liberation, and grace. Art that points the finger at ourselves.
What if both the performance and the conversation about themes in the performance ignites depth of the the evening itself — and becomes part of the art.
