It's finally here! The long track by track rollout has finally ended and The Icarus Album is ready to be listened to in full as was always intended!
Come join me at the stomping grounds of my youth, Kitchener-Waterloo, where I grew up slowly and finally learned to focus my troublemaking towards positive social change.
We will gather at Waterloo North Mennonite Church, the community which helped keep me out of jail longer than anyone could have imagined and then smuggled me in texts on anabaptist history when I inevitably got locked up.
There will be hot drinks and physical copies of the album and I'll talk a little bit about the emotional/narrative context of the music as well as the theoretical compositional side. I'll pay homage to my late father, the man who inspired the entire project and funded the lion's share as well.
Then we'll listen together to the greatest creative project of my life so far and my best attempt to transform one of the worst things I've ever experienced into something beautiful.
