It's been two eventful years since the last Hérault Gardener Open Garden Weekend and it's about time for a refresh: What do we plant? How do we plant? What has worked and was hasn't? What are we planning for the future?On the weekend of May 16 and/or 17 various members of The Hérault Gardener Facebook group will open their very diverse gardens to visitors to share ideas, insights, inspirations. This event is not about showing or viewing perfect gardens, but about sharing experiences, questions, peaves and pleasures.
The provisional garden list, which we are happy to expand (just add yourself in commentary or send a message to admin):
Saturday 16:
- Linda Frisk, near Laurens - 400m2 kitchen garden in mandala shape next to a chateau
- Daniel Botwood, La Caumette 34600 (43.589061,3.161815) - wild garden for permaculture food forest project
- Richard and Philippa Gratton, Murviel-les-Béziers - large second home garden with focus on easy maintenance
Sunday 17:
- Christine and Gerard Drechsler, Cuxac - 2500m2 garden in a domaine with dry garden, potager, gravel courtyard, etc.
- Gabriele Bryant and Christian Wenger, Capestang - large garden with newish trees and a steep slope problem as well as a raised bed potager
