About this Event

The Human Library is an event in which real people become “books on loan.” Each volunteer “book” shares part of their personal story with “readers,” who are the event participants.

The goal of the Human Library is to create a respectful and positive space for conversations that challenge stereotypes, assumptions, and prejudice.

For this event, we will need five or six volunteers. Each volunteer will choose a proposed topic or life experience they feel comfortable discussing. Participants will listen, ask questions, and engage in meaningful conversation.

There will be five or six "books" presented at the same time at five or six different tables. Particpans will choose one and sit with the book of their choice.
