"The Hugs are an indie-pop and psychedelic garage rock band from Portland, Oregon, formed in 2007 by lead singer-songwriter Danny Delegato. Having released eight studio albums and critical acclaim from outlets like NME, Interview Magazine, and praise from Gus Van Sant in The NY Post - their music has been featured on TV shows like HBO’s GIRLS, ABC’s 9-1-1 & The Lying Game, and various MTV shows including Slednecks, and Awkward. As well as adverts for Gap and various other major brands. The band has toured extensively in the PNW and is currently working on the finishing touches their 9th album. Their latest release, New Adventure (Feb 2, 2024), embraces a new chapter in their sound, blending dreamy, expansive pop with nostalgic vibes and a bold forward-thinking approach.
The band continues to evolve, pushing creative boundaries as they explore new sonic territories and themes of growth and self-discovery. Currently preparing a 9th studio album set for a 2026 release. "
