Join us this month at Wren Haven Homestead for a buzzing good time as we welcome Cher Clary from Beachin Bees Apiary in Perdido!
Children will step into the fascinating world of honey bees and local pollinators through hands-on learning and creative exploration.
During this special event, we’ll:
✨ Explore a demonstration hive and discover the tools and clothing real beekeepers use.
🌼 Learn about the vital role bees play as local pollinators in our ecosystem.
🕯️ Roll beeswax taper candles to take home.
🍯 Savor freshly baked honey muffins with tea and locally sourced honey.
📖 Study bee anatomy and document our discoveries in our nature journals.
🐝Felt your very own little bee from wool.
🌿Hike to our pond to observe bees in their natural habitat (a great opportunity to nature journal).
Please Bring:
– Your nature journal and colored pencils
– A curious mind ready to learn and create
– A water bottle, and comfy shoes for a walk
Parents are welcome to drop off or stay with their children. You are also welcome to explore the Homestead with your littles while your older children take the class.
Extra Sweet Details:
🍯 Local honey and honey products from Beachin Bees Apiary will be available for purchase.
👧🧒 Open to children ages 8 and up.
👨👩👧 Family Discount: $10 off for each additional child enrolled from the same family.
