The Eucharistic Theology of Francis of Assisi
This presentation focuses on the role of the Holy Spirit in the Eucharist theology of Francis. Though not a theologian, Francis exhibited a tremendous insight into how the Spirit is involved in how Jesus is made present in the bread and wine at Mass. We will focus on the importance of the Eucharist in the context of thirteenth-century Italy and its implications for today.
