Special Collections welcomes Shelton Berry, historian/researcher at the West Baton Rouge Museum, to the Main Library at Goodwood on Wednesday, February 18 at 6 p.m. He will discuss his oral history and genealogy project, documenting the history of enslaved people in West Baton Rouge Parish and their descendants. It all started when he found an ancestor’s name on the wall at the Museum where cabins from nearby Allen and Westover plantations are located.
