About this Event
The History of Country Music is a powerful live music experience led by entertainer Rusty Jackson, tracing the roots and rise of America’s most authentic musical tradition.
Travel back to 1927 — the year that changed everything.
Rusty begins with the birth of the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville and the legendary Bristol Sessions — often called the “Big Bang of Country Music.” Through storytelling and live performance, he brings to life the songs of Jimmie Rodgers and The Carter Family, the true architects of the genre.
From there, the journey rolls west with Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys and the birth of Western Swing… then into the honky-tonk heart of Ernest Tubb and Hank Williams.
The story continues through the rebels and poets of country music — Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson and more.
From 1927 to 1977, this show celebrates fifty powerful years of the Golden Era of Classic Country — the songs, the struggles, the faith, the grit, and the American spirit that shaped generations.
This isn’t just a concert.
It’s a musical time machine.
Whether you’re a lifelong country fan or simply love great American music and great storytelling, The History of Country Music delivers unforgettable songs and the stories behind them — performed live.
Come experience the soundtrack of America’s heartland. 🎶
