At its peak, there were 74 cigar factories in Binghamton with 4,000 employees producing150,000,000 cigars per year. With this presentation, Broome County Historian Roger Luther will discuss the process of cigar manufacturing, the pioneers who brought the business to this city, the phenomenal growth of the industry, and what brought it all to an end.
