Settle beneath a shady pavilion on the bank of the Clear Fork and listen in on a conversation between Scot McFarlane, author of The River That Made Texas: A Forgotten History of the Trinity, and Amy Martin, author of Wild DFW: Explore the Amazing Nature Around Dallas-Fort Worth.
McFarlane will present the past and present cultural contexts of life along the entire Trinity, and Martin will explore the river's current North Texas conditions and recreational opportunities. Recluse Books will have books available for purchase and signing.
Afterward, attendees are invited to take a river amble on the Trinity Trails with Martin, or rent kayaks from TC Paddlesports for a guided float up the West Fork.
