Led by composer/pianist JooWan Kim, Oakland-based Ensemble Mik Nawooj subverts expectations with a multi-genre crew that includes classical instrumentation such as piano and percussion, merged with mesmerizing MCs and captivating turf dancing.
Imagine the seminal works of Mozart, Bach, or Beethoven, deconstructed and reimagined with funky rhythms and rapid-fire rhymes.
