The Highest Love

The Sun reaches it’s zenith to officially begin summer on June 20, 2024. It kicks off the season that many of us hold dear. It seems to appear and disappear quickly. Join us as we open the Gate of Summer called “The Highest Love" Gate. It is a celebration of being alive, human here and now. This Gate differs from the others in that it is more chill, half price and more interactive.

Around 7pm, a vibrant circle awaits for stories will be shared. We will have story tellers as well as opening the mic for your story about a summer in your life, a ghost story, a poem or what have you. As we take turns, mandalas will be co-created within the circle to be used magically during the end of the gathering. Create a sun catcher or express yourself through chalk drawings adorning the ground.

Around 8:15 most of us will embark on a magical parade to the enchanting Witch's Tower, nestled atop the highest point of Minneapolis. Others who do not want to go the mile and half walk are welcomed to stay at Modus Locus and create. We'll gather around the Tower for a mesmerizing sunset drum circle. The wise trio of Tamiko, Nancy, and Sarah have mystical offerings, including smudging rituals, to infuse the air with ancient wisdom and positive energy.

We return to Modus Locus around 9:30 to move together to the sounds crafted by Tamiko and Ephraim as they weave a soothing sound bath. The ending ritual involves pausing time to savor the beauty of summer. And as we bid farewell to the evening, we'll dismantle the mandala, invoking the eternal time clock to begin anew.

Come adorned in attire that reflects your highest love and inner magic. This is an experience not to be missed—mark your calendars and prepare to be swept away on a journey of joy and enchantment!
