The High Noons are what happens when early ’60s girl group charm meets the swagger of ’70s rock—and the result is pure gold. Led by songwriter Aric Nunes, the band delivers timeless pop with a cinematic twist: think The Ronettes by way of Big Star, or The Crystals backed by a fuzzed-out garage band. Nunes writes with a heart-on-sleeve honesty, wrapping bittersweet lyrics in lush harmonies, jangly guitars, and vintage grooves. There’s that unmistakable echo of Spector’s Wall of Sound—but there’s also grit, depth, and a pulse that is entirely their own. The High Noons aren’t just reviving a sound—they’re reimagining it.
