As part of the celebrations of our 950th anniversary, these lectures will reflect on aspects of the artistic and cultural heritage of Chichester Cathedral, the ways in which these speak to us amid the challenges and opportunities of our current time, and their relevance for future generations. Reverend Vanessa Baron has strategic responsibility for the care and interpretation of the Cathedralâs fabric and treasures as Canon Treasurer. She read philosophy at London City University and has an MA in Mediaeval History. She was among the very first cohort of women to be ordained priest in the Diocese of London in 1994.
This lecture will combine, in different measure, reflection on art, culture, history, theology and spirituality. All are welcome and no prior knowledge of the Cathedral or subject area is expected.
