About this Event
Join us for the Hertfordshire Youth Commission Big Conversation Conference 2026!
We welcome you to listen to the voices of over 1,500 young people from across Hertfordshire. The Hertfordshire Youth Commission is funded by the Police and Crime Commissioner who wanted to hear directly from young people on their views and experiences of policing and crime.
Throughout this year, the Youth Commission has been working to engage with young people through peer workshops and surveys focused on the key issues they feel are most important and relevant to young people living in Hertfordshire.
These key priorities are:
- County Lines and Exploitation
- Anti-social Behaviour (ASB)
- Hate Crime
- Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG)
- Police Powers
- Knife Crime and Joint Enterprise
You will hear from members of the Youth Commission who will share their key findings and recommendations for change on each priority, and host discussions on how partners, the PCC, and the Hertfordshire Constabulary can help implement these recommendations.
Whether you work in education, policing, community development, youth work, or research, this event offers lived experience and practical recommendations that can inspire your work for the better.
Don’t miss out on this incredible opportunity to be part of something big, happening right here in your community!
The agenda for the day will be shared closer to the event.
