Presented by Fredricksen Library: Born and raised between the ridges of Eschol, PA, Zachariah King has been steeped in the heritage of Perry County country music, learning to sing and play in church at the historic Eschol Brethren in Christ Church across the street from his home.
Zach draws from a wide range of inspiration for his songs - past experiences, human emotion and local lore - in creating his own brand of singer/songwriter style country music. Recently, Zach has been named Perry County’s Poet Laureate by the Perry County Council of the Arts and the Perry County Commissioners Office for his original work, The Perry County Waltz. He has also been archiving historical local music with a focus on preserving and performing it for others to enjoy.
