The Heavy Hanger Runway Experience is Wichita’s first exclusive lingerie and swimwear runway show, produced by The Heavy Hanger by Melons — The Complete Bra Shop. Founded by Certified Master Bra Fitter TeOnya Johnson, the show celebrates fuller-bust fashion through a professionally staged runway featuring the world’s most trusted lingerie and swimwear brands, modeled by real women in real sizes, in a city that has never seen anything like it.
This is an evening for 200 guests only— an intimate, high-fashion experience complete with signature cocktails, passed hors d’oeuvres, a live DJ, and on-site ordering for current and next-season collections. We will have giveaways and gift baskets; each brand will be giving away a set!
The show benefits two communities: the clients who have long deserved to see themselves represented on a runway, and the women and girls served by High and Lifted UP — Te’s 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to providing new and gently used bras to women in local domestic violence shelters and girls in a children’s home. Ten percent of every ticket sold goes directly to that mission.
This is fashion with a purpose. Confidence with a cause. And a show that proves Wichita has always been ready for something extraordinary.
