About this Event

We invite you into the musical elegance and splendor of the French Baroque

Internationally acclaimed harpsichordist and GRAMMY nominee JORY VINIKOUR plays a program of exquisite music by some of the French Baroque's most celebrated composers - Louis Couperin, Jean-Philippe Rameau, and Jacques Duphly. The elegance and refinement of this period's music has led to it being called the 'Golden Age' of the harpsichord.

This is the first of three concerts in Festival Capriccio 2026's Counterpoints Cycle. The Cycle presents a kaleidoscope of harpsichord music written across centuries - from the Baroque to the 20th century to our contemporary times - highlighting the instrument's versatility and expressive voice. Across the three Festival concerts these different eras of music meet, echo, and illuminate one another, revealing unexpected connections.

Join us for the opening concert of Festival Capriccio 2026!
