Can the wounds of war heal? Can enemies reconcile? This new film tells a story of hope that even the deepest divisions can be bridged.
About this Event

Join us in person for The Hardest Bridge, a new documentary film that tells the unique story of Jo Berry, daughter of Sir Anthony Berry MP who was killed in the Brighton bombing of 1984, and Patrick Magee, a volunteer with the IRA, who planted the bomb. Magee was imprisoned but later released under the Good Friday Agreement. Jo Berry went to meet him, beginning a lifelong transformative journey.

Jo and Pat now speak together around the world, sharing their message that by building understanding and human connection, the cycle of violence and revenge can be broken. Theirs is a powerful story, relevant to conflicts in our world today.

The 45-minute screening will be followed by a panel discussion and Q&A session featuring Dr Imad Karam, the film's award-winning British Palestinian director, in conversation with Jo Berry and executive producer Howard Grace.

Admission is free - but please reserve a spot. Light refreshments will be available from 5.30 pm with the film starting at 6 pm.
