🎉A spectacular celebration is coming to Auckland! ✨
🎼This Chinese New Year concert will, for the first time, bring together Chinese opera, Western opera, Māori folk songs, and a full symphony orchestra on one stage.
🎻The programme features beloved Chinese classics such as Spring Festival Overture, The Butterfly Lovers, Ode to the Yellow River, and The Yangtze River Flows Eastward, alongside operatic and symphonic excerpts by masters including Verdi, Beethoven, Puccini, Rossini, and Bizet.
🌺A special Māori folk song medley is also included, showcasing the beauty of cultural diversity and exchange.
More than 50 musicians from China and New Zealand will use music as a bridge, transcending distance and connecting hearts, as they join Auckland audiences in welcoming the Chinese New Year of the Horse🐎✨
💖50% of the ticket revenue from this concert will be donated to the Starship Foundation to support Starship Children’s Hospital.
