The Happiest Man on Earth

A staged reading of The Happiest Man on Earth by Mark St. Germain, inspired by the best-selling memoir of Holocaust survivor Eddie Jaku. This intimate and powerful play will run for three performances only: September 12 and 13 at 7:30 PM, and September 14 at 2:00 PM, at St. Stephen’s AME Church, 19 Oak Street, Latrobe, PA 15650.

Local stage veteran David Seremet will portray Eddie Jaku, who recounts his incredible journey as a young Jewish boy in Nazi Germany, his survival of Auschwitz, and ultimately, his choice to live life with love, hope, and joy. A story of resilience and humanity, this production honors one man’s unwavering spirit amidst unimaginable darkness.

Other actors will lend their talents and provide the voices of the people Eddie encounters along his journey.
