“After awkward loner Kendall responds to a curious ad promising the opportunity to be and to make a friend, he is introduced to the Android – who has a distance to go before he is actually ready to be shipped to shelves. The Android’s task is to be Kendall’s friend. Kendall’s task is to aid the Android in comprehending the ways humans think and, more seriously, the ways they feel.”
