In the aftermath of September 11th, Nick—a fire captain overwhelmed by grief—turns to Joan, a writer, to help him craft eulogies for the fallen firefighters he led. As they navigate this delicate task together, stories unfold, personalities emerge, and the quiet heroism of everyday people takes center stage.
