The Gun Violence Memorial Project: Object Collection Events

MOCAD will be hosting Objects Collection events where families have the opportunity to contribute a Remembrance Object to MOCAD's presentation of that honors and celebrates the lives of their loved ones taken by gun violence. This vital memorial seeks to honor the lives and narratives of victims through personal remembrance objects that tell their stories. If you wish to contribute, please select a meaningful item that represents and connects with your loved one.

Our collection events will be held on:

Apr 5, 2025 12pm - 5pm

Jun 21, 2025 12pm -5pm

Please register for a 30-minute time slot where you will meet with a museum staff member to collect information about you, your loved one, and their story, as well as collect your object, which will be added to the The Gun Violence Memorial Project.

Remembrance Objects can be anything that tells a story of your loved one. Please note that we are only able to accommodate objects that are no larger than 9” L x 4.5” W x 3” H.
