The Grow Collective Youth Cohort — Closing Showcase
About this Event
What you'll see
Join us as the inaugural cohort of The Grow Collective Youth Cohort presents what they grew, what they made, and what they learned over a five-week paid summer program in Park Heights.
Nine Baltimore young people spent the summer working in three stations — a working grow lab, a commercial kitchen, and community outreach across the neighborhood. They produced real food, developed a value-added product line, and built real workforce skills along the way.
The Showcase is open to the community. Family, neighbors, community leaders, partners, and supporters are all welcome.
What to expect
- Youth-led presentations of their five-week journey
- A first look and tasting of the cohort's value-added product line
- Fresh microgreens grown by the cohort
- Photos and stories from the program
- Time to meet the youth, the team, and the partners building this work
Hosted in partnership with
The Langston Hughes Community, Business and Resource Center
About The Grow Collective
The Grow Collective Youth Cohort is one project within a larger Grow Collective program led by What The Sprout LLC — a Baltimore-based community agriculture infrastructure company building resident-led food production at neighborhood hubs across the city. This summer is the first cohort, proving the model for duplication across Baltimore and beyond.
