Garden tour at historic Greystone Mansion - outside only. Round trip transportation from the Mariott hotel by air-conditioned school bus.The Greystone estate and grounds have been a location for films and television shows for many years, including the primetime 1991 Dark Shadows series starring Ben Cross. There is no charge to walk around the 16 acre park grounds. We will not be able to go inside the mansion, however you can see through the glass doors into the lobby. Due to the site's historic nature, some areas have limited disability access. There are uneven trails and many stairs, with very few places to sit. There are public restrooms in the original firehouse near the mansion.
The average temperature in July is in the 80's, so you will be warm as you walk around the environs. Passengers will be given bottles of water and a small Dark Shadows gift.
Picnics are not allowed, and alcohol is prohibited on the grounds. Smoking (including vaping and e-cigarettes) is prohibited in all areas of the park, including the parking lot.
In addition to the 1991 Dark Shadows series (starring Ben Cross) other prime-time TV shows that were filmed at Greystone include : Columbo; Hart to Hart; Revenge; The West Wing; The Mentalist; Gilmore Girls; Entourage, and more. Greystone has also been featured in such films as: The Witches of Eastwick; Star Trek Into Darkness; Ghostbusters II; Spider-Man 3; The Bodyguard; X-Men;The Social Network; There Will Be Blood, and more.
