About this Event

Join the BBRA for an interesting and inspirational evening looking at Bath through a green lens. Architect & Sustainability campaigner Robert Delius of the firm Stride Treglown was the driving force behind The Sinking House in the Avon for Cop 26 & the visually stunning & powerful Funeral for Nature. He will show us what has been done in other cities, where an area of waste ground or a barren balcony has been transformed with the introduction of trees, shrubs & vines. And then Rob will tantalise us with the vision of a greener Bath.

In the past Bath rated highly for urban trees; and we still have some amazing historic specimens but, overall, we have dropped down the list to number 37. Trees give so much: shade, heat absorption, reduction in flooding, slowing traffic, building a sense of calm even healing . But where would we put them; how would it look?

For answers to those questions and more please join us on the evening of Wednesday, 4 March at 7:15pm (doors open at 7) at St. Luke’s Centre Upper Hall, Hatfield Road (adjacent to St, Luke’s Church). There is no charge for this event but you will need to book as seats are limited. Wine & a soft option will be available for purchase via cash or card.

* Please note: this meeting will be preceded by the BBRA AGM for members only.
