This free community event invites you to explore a historic military base while celebrating the strong bond between San Antonio and our armed forces.

Enjoy an immersive day filled with live performances, engaging demonstrations, and family-friendly activities that capture the unique spirit of our city. Savor delicious offerings from local food trucks and enjoy a variety of beverages as you take part in exciting fitness challenges and cultural showcases.

Whether you're a history enthusiast, a supporter of our military, or simply looking for an unforgettable outing, the Great Texas Freedom Fest is the perfect occasion to connect with community, heritage, and innovation.

The public should enter JBSA-Fort Sam Houston through Harry Wurzbach Road. Both Harry Wurzbach East and Harry Wurzbach West gates will be open. Department of Defense ID cardholders have the option to use the Walters gate.

The coordinates for the Harry Wurzbach West gate are: 29°27'39.3"N 98°27'13.8"W
