The Great Steel String Bake Off 2025!

Calling all bakers and sweet tooths! 🧁 The second annual Steel String Bake Off is happening this Sunday February 2nd 2025!

Bake an original dessert utilizing a beer from Steel String as an ingredient. Each dessert will be judged by your peers and other attendees to crown the 2025 Champion Baker!

Participate as a Baker:

• Pre register at either of Steel String Brewery’s locations: the Carrboro Taproom or Pluck Farm during open hours

• Pay the $10 registration and pick up a 4-pack Steel String Beer of your choice (included in the registration fee)

• Bake an original dessert that includes one of Steel String Brewery’s beers in some manner as an ingredient

• Each dessert must be individually portioned with a minimum of 50 sample/bite sized servings.

• You must provide a list of ingredients used in your dessert for folks with allergies and dietary restrictions.

• Bring it to Steel String Brewery’s Carrboro Taproom on Sunday February 2nd 2025 in time for the 3pm start.

Sample & Vote:

• Each dessert will be judged by fellow bakers and attendees of the bake off.

• Purchase a $5 JUDGING TICKET from steelstringbrewery.com/bakeoff in advance or at the bar the day of. *Limited to 50 tickets

• The first 50 people buying a judging ticket will receive a ballot allowing them to vote for their top 3 favorite desserts.

• Each 1st place vote will count for 3 2nd place votes for 2 3rd place votes for 1.

The winner crowned THE 2025 CHAMPION BAKER will receive a 🏆trophy and a 🎉$150 party tab and reservation to be used for a victory celebration at either Steel String Brewery’s Carrboro Taproom or Pluck Farm.
