Christmas IS NOT AND NEVER PERFECT but we love it anyway.
It's messy. It's chaotic. Its plans gone wrong. It's sentimental. It’s meltdowns.
It's the decorations that have seen better days and should have been binned many Christmas’s ago. The wonky things made at school. Traditions that make no sense to anyone beyond those we love. The traditions we inherit and the ones we start ourselves.
So, on November 11th, we're starting a new tradition of our own.

We’re inviting you to Porter's to decorate Porter’s with us.
BRING SOMETHING.
A bauble, a trinket, a tiny treasure, something sentimental, something ridiculous, something old, something new or something that absolutely should not be on a Christmas tree. Anything you're happy to give away and leave with us. Anything that means Christmas to you.
MAKE SOMETHING.
We'll have Christmas crafting kits ready and waiting. No artistic talent required. No rules to follow. Just make something, get stuck in and see what happens.
And here's the thing: we’ll put a name tag on whatever you bring or make and we'll keep it. Forever.
Every Christmas afterwards we'll bring it back out and repeat the process again.
Year after year, it'll grow. Not into the perfect Christmas display, but something much better. A living, growing, wonderfully chaotic collection of people and moments. Little marks of those who've walked through Porter's doors and made it what it is. Memories made physical, each Porter’s Christmas built on and carrying all the Christmas’s that came before.
So come down on the 11th for the Porter’s Christmas get together 2026. We’ll provide the atmosphere and the soundtrack and a little cup of mulled cheer until it runs out.
