The Great Gobble Run 2026

The Great Gobble Run is a 5k Charity Fun Run for the Rio Linda/Elverta community held on the third Saturday of November. Proceeds will benefit the Rio Linda/Elverta Food Closet. Created to bring neighbors together, The Great Gobble Run welcomes everyone, from seasoned runners to families, walkers, and little turkeys of all ages. Whether you're chasing a personal record or simply enjoying the morning with friends, you'll be part of something bigger than the finish line. Every registration helps support the Rio Linda/Elverta Food Closet, providing food and assistance to local families in need.

Expect a morning filled with laughter, great people, and plenty of reasons to smile. So, gather your flock, lace up your running shoes, and join us for an event that's all about giving back while having a gobblin' good time.

Small Town. Big Hearts.

This is an all-ages event. All participants must complete our waiver and release form. A parent/guardian must complete the form for participants under 18.

Participants under 12 are free with paid registration of parent/guardian and must remain with the registered parent/guardian throughout the entire course. Strollers are welcome and recommended for younger children who may be unable to complete the full 5K independently. For everyone’s safety, walkers and participants with strollers must begin at the back of the starting group.

Registration guidelines:

18+ Regular registration (sign waiver at sign in)

13-17 Regular registration (parent/guardian must sign waiver at sign in)

0-12 Free (no shirt) entry with paid regular registration of parent/guardian (parent/guardian must sign waiver for child at sign in)

No Pets: for your pet’s safety and the safety of all participants in this event, dogs are prohibited. If you have a dog in any of the start areas, you will be asked to remove the dog from the race. If that is not an option, you will be respectfully asked to refrain from participating in the race. Dogs are not permitted in the pre-race and post-race areas. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
