Get your baskets ready! The Naperville Jaycees invite you to the annual Great Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at the Frontier Park Sports Complex. This beloved community tradition features over 14,000 colorful eggs "hidden" across four softball fields, waiting for kids to scramble and find them.

The event is divided into age-specific zones to ensure a fun and safe experience for everyone. The horn sounds at 9:00 AM sharp, and in true Naperville fashion, the eggs disappear in a flash! Be sure to arrive early to find your field and enjoy a special visit from the Easter Bunny.

1. Is there a cost to attend?

The Great Egg Hunt is a FREE community event. However, the Naperville Jaycees are a non-profit organization, and donations are greatly appreciated to help fund future community projects.

2. Can I help my child hunt for eggs?

To keep things fair, parents are only allowed on the field to assist children in the 0–2 year old age group. For all other age groups (3–8), parents must stay behind the perimeter lines to cheer on their little hunters.

3. What should we bring?

Please bring your own Easter basket or bag to collect eggs. We also encourage you to bring non-perishable food items or shelf-stable microwavable meals (no glass containers) to donate to DuPage PADS at the collection bins.

4. Where should I park?

Parking is available at the Frontier Park Sports Complex lot and the adjacent Neuqua Valley High School lots. Parking is very limited and fills up fast; we strongly recommend arriving at least 30 minutes before the 9:00 AM start time.

5. What happens if we arrive at 9:05 AM?

Because the hunt starts exactly at 9:00 AM, the eggs are usually all gone within minutes. If you arrive late, you will likely miss the hunt! Please plan for traffic and parking delays.

6. Is there a "Flashlight Egg Hunt" too?

The Naperville Park District often hosts a separate Flashlight Egg Hunt for older kids (ages 9–13) on a different evening. The Jaycees Great Egg Hunt is a daytime event specifically for kids aged 8 and under.

7. Is the event wheelchair accessible?

The hunt takes place on the grass outfields of the softball complex. While the park has paved paths, the actual hunting area may be uneven or soft depending on spring weather conditions.
